Easy Remove Watermark for Gemini is designed to remove supported visible Gemini image watermarks locally in your browser. This policy explains what data the extension handles and why each permission is used.
Overview
Easy Remove Watermark for Gemini is a Chrome extension that removes supported visible Gemini image watermarks locally in the browser and lets users download the cleaned image from Gemini pages.
The extension does not create user accounts, does not collect personal information, does not sell data, and does not upload your images to our servers.
Image processing
When the extension processes a supported Gemini-generated image, the image file is fetched from Gemini or Google image asset hosts and processed locally inside your browser. The image-processing logic runs on your device.
Images are not sent to Easy Remove Watermark servers. The cleaned result is generated in the browser so you can download it from the Gemini page.
Data we do not collect
The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal information. It does not collect browsing history, search history, passwords, payment information, health information, personal communications, or the contents of your Gemini conversations.
The extension does not store uploaded or processed images on a remote server.
Storage permission
The extension uses Chrome storage only to save the user's enable/disable preference. This lets the extension remember whether automatic Gemini image cleanup should be active after the browser or Gemini page is reopened.
This setting is used only for extension functionality and is not sold or shared for advertising.
activeTab permission
The extension uses activeTab only to reload the current Gemini tab after the user changes the enable/disable toggle in the popup. This ensures the updated setting takes effect immediately on the active Gemini page.
The extension does not use activeTab to read unrelated websites or monitor browsing activity.
Host permissions
The extension requests access to Gemini and Google image asset hosts so it can detect, fetch, process, and replace supported Gemini generated images on the page.

These permissions are needed for the content script to run on Gemini pages and for the extension background script to fetch Gemini image assets for local watermark removal.
https://easyremovewatermark.com/* is used only to support links and companion-site integration for the official Easy Remove Watermark web tool.
Remote code
The extension does not use remote code. All extension JavaScript, image-processing logic, UI code, and assets are packaged inside the extension.
The extension may fetch image files from Gemini or Google image hosts for local processing, but it does not download or execute remote JavaScript.
Third-party sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share extension user data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. Image processing is performed locally for the user-requested watermark cleanup workflow.
Changes to this policy
If the extension's data handling changes, this privacy policy will be updated before or when the updated extension is released.
